After many COVID restrictions were lifted in 2021, team members wanted to think of a way to help build company culture with people returning to the office. With the help of ProAssurance General Legal Counsel, Jeff Lisenby, and other team members who keep bees on the side, an apiary was established on the roof of the ProAssurance Headquarters office building. The ProAssurance Headquarters are located in conducive area for beekeeping: The building is within a three-mile radius of flowering, residential areas. This activity allowed an opportunity for team members to learn about beekeeping while at work.
The Pollinator Team recently installed a live camera on the roof for those who want to view the bees. You can find the livestream on the page as well as the most recent installation of a new colony on the roof.
