Mr. Rand is the President and Chief Executive Officer of ProAssurance Corporation. He began this position in July 2019 after serving as Chief Operation Officer. He has also served in several leadership roles since joining ProAssurance in November 2004. Mr. Rand sits on the Board of Directors for Lloyd’s of London Syndicates 1729 and 6131. He has served in a variety of leadership roles from 1992 to 2004 prior to joining ProAssurance.
Ms. Hendricks is an Executive Vice President; Chief Financial Officer; and Treasurer of ProAssurance Corporation. Ms. Hendricks was the Senior Vice President of Business Operation for Podiatry Insurance Company of America (PICA) before assuming the CFO role in September 2018. She has served in several executive positions since joining PICA in 2001. Ms. Henricks has a wide variety of experiences in finance and accounting in both public and non-public companies.
Mr. Francis is President of ProAssurance’s Healthcare Liability Insurance division. He rejoined ProAssurance in 2019 after serving as the Chief Operating Officer of The Doctor’s Company. Mr. Francis was previously employed at ProAssurance for 20 years, during which he held a number of positions including Chief Underwriting Officer.
Dr. Taubman is the President and Chief Medical Officer of the ProAssurance Insurance Company of America (PICA). Prior to joining PICA in 2011, Dr. Taubman was in private practice for 26 years in Maryland. Dr. Taubman received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine before completing his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital.
Ms. Murphy, ESQ. serves as President, Life Sciences for ProAssurance Corporation. She is responsible for all aspects of our Life Sciences business, including underwriting, claims, risk management, systems applications, and business development and marketing. Ms. Murphy has served in several leadership roles since joining Medmarc in February 1995. Ms. Murphy earned her JD from the American University, Washington College of Law.
Mr. Di Piazza was elected to the ProAssurance Board of Directors in January 2014. He is currently the Mayo Clinic’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees and serves on the Board of Directors for AT&T, Inc., Regions Financial Corporation and Jones Lan LaSalle Incorporated. He has served as Vice-Chairman for the Institutional Clients Group of Citi. Mr. Di Piazza had a 36-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited including 30 years as partner.
Ms. Frei currently serves as a ProAssurance Board member and chair of the Compensation Committee. She is the former Chairman of Ram Tool Construction Supply Company, one of the largest female-owned and privately owned businesses in Alabama. Ms. Frei served in a variety of roles from 1997-2021, and helped guide the company to nearly $1 billion in annual sales. She also serves on several organizations’ boards like the Hugh Kaul Foundation.
